In this project, I designed an architecture poster with the goal of making left and right sides of the poster working both individually and as a whole, with varied meaning when observed in different ways.
The architecture I choose is Beijing National Stadium, also known as “The Nest”. The stadium was designed for use throughout the 2008 Summer Olympics and this architecture masterpiece has been an iconic attraction of Beijing and China ever since. In this poster design, I intended to create a transition from designing/modeling of the stadium on left poster to a lively “Nest” on right poster. The abstract lines dominated left poster is inspired by structures on “The Nest”. I hope to pay tribute to the iconic, bold, original design of the stadium and resonate with the visual language it embodies.
