This trading card design, featuring Ohio State’s beloved mascot, Brutus Buckeye, is initiated as a marketing strategy in effort to attract more fans to Ohio State Men’s Basketball game.
We want this trading card to resonate with avid Ohio State fans. We want to create a collectible that speaks to the team spirit. We want Ohio State fans to look at this item and say: “I want to add this to my collection”.
The “Raise it” pose, as shown in Brutus, is an iconic celebration for Ohio State Men’s Basketball team that specific season. “Team 123” also marks team’s identity. This is a very collaborative project and I enjoyed iterating concepts as a team, exploring various options, gradually narrowing down focus, and finally created this adored piece.
